Toni Davison Levenberg

Toni joined the Interlaken team in January 2006. Originally from Philadelphia, PA, she has actively been involved in camping and informal Jewish education since she was a camper at JCC Camp Arthur-Reeta. Toni has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida. Before Interlaken, Toni was most recently the Assistant Director of House in the Wood Camp serving inner-city Chicago children, the Sales & Operations Manager of Camp CHI's Perlstein Resort & Conference Center, and a Software Engineer with two major technology consulting firms. In 2007, Toni was selected as one of 12 resident camp directors nationally to be a Mandel Senior Fellow in the Lekhu Lakhem program through the JCC Association's Mandel Center for Jewish Education. Toni is on the board of the Wisconsin section of the American Camp Association, and she is active with the Midwest Jewish Camp Directors. She is on the board of the National Council of Jewish Women - Milwaukee Chapter. Toni's husband Jonah is the Director of Food Services at the JCC of Milwaukee. Toni and Jonah have a son named Jaron Isaac, and their four legged children are Caribou and Artie. Toni is looking forward to her 8th summer at Camp Interlaken!


Daniel N. Baer

Dan came to Camp Interlaken in 2008 from Akron, Ohio where he was most recently the Assistant Director at Hiram House Camp working both with their resident camp and their day camp.  Dan graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Applied Economics and Management, and he has always had a passion for working with children and summer camp as well as Jewish life.  He was extremely active in Hillel in college and BBYO in high school.  He attended JCC Camp Wise as a camper, and he is very excited to be back in the world of Jewish Camping. Dan recently completed the Merrin Teen Fellowship through JCCA's Merrin Center for Teen Services, where he was selected as a part of a cohort of 16 JCCA Teen Professionals. Additionally, Dan is currently a part of Foundation for Jewish Camp Yitro Fellowship, where he was selected as a part of a cohort of 20 assistant directors of Jewish camps. Dan is looking forward to continuting to his magical journey at Camp Interlaken and earning his 5 year t-shirt this summer at Camp!

Beth Alling

Beth joined the Camp Interlaken JCC family as the Camping Services Coordinator in 2008.  She is the first point of contact as you come into or call the camp office. Beth graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside with a BA in Communication.  She joins us with a background in both business and education.  Beth loves seeing our campers here at the JCC as well as when she and her family visit camp. Beth is married to Keith and the proud mom of campers Kelsie and Noah.


Sharon R. Cohen
Assistant Director

An employee of the JCC since 1985, Sharon Cohen is a preschool teacher in the JCC Gan Ami during the winter months and is the Assistant Director of the Steve & Shari Sadek Family Camp Interlaken JCC during the summer. In these capacities, she has touched hundreds of children in our community from very young to teenager, infusing them with her knowledge and love of Jewish traditions, learning and values. Sharon is the Coatlition for Jewish Learning's Teacher of the Year for 2008. She graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science degree in education, has studied at the graduate level at Keane College for early childhood education and has taken Judaic study classes at both Hebrew Union College and Spertus College. Sharon is most famously known as Hazzi’s wife and Simcha’s mother.


Hazzan Carey Cohen
Administrative Director

Returning for his ninth summer on staff at Camp Interlaken JCC, Hazzan Cohen, known lovingly as “Hazzi,” is responsible for many things behind the scenes at camp including scheduling of chugim (activities), staff days off, transportation, and he is a Judaic resource for our staff and campers. During the off-season, Hazzan Cohen is a full-time staff member at the JCC as the Chaverim (Adult Special Needs) Director and Transportation Coordinator. He graduated from the Manhattan School for Cantors and attended City College of New York. Hazzi is most famously known as Sharon’s husband and Simcha’s father.
