At Camp Interlaken, campers of all backgrounds and levels of observance come together to celebrate Jewish life. In our unique community, Jewish living is experienced in everything we do and helps campers feel proud of who they are.

We base camp on 4 Core Jewish Values: Israel Eretz Yisrael, the land of Israel , and Am Yisrael, the people Israel ; Tselem Elohim – We are all created in the image of G-d; Tikkun Olam – Repair the world; Kehillah – creating a Jewish community. These aspects of Judaism are woven into all aspects of daily camp life.

Shabbat is a special and meaninful time at camp. We begin with a shabbat walk led by our directors throughout camp, come together for dinner and an AMAZING song session and dancing.

As a Jewish experience, camp often means the difference between leading an adult Jewish life and leading a life of indifference. Each session of camp is filled with opportunities for campers to gain positive skills and experiences, and to find a connection to Judaism.
