Are you thinking about a family vacation this summer? We would like to suggest an ideal, very affordable family “get away” that promises to be both an enriching Jewish experience while providing an opportunity for your family to spend quality time together in the pristine setting of Camp Interlaken JCC, located in Eagle River, Wisconsin.
Camp Interlaken’s Family Camp 2012 will take place August 14-19th. Families will gather from all over the country to enjoy five fun-filled, relaxing days while participating in activities such as swimming, sailing, waterskiing, nature walks, tennis, arts & crafts, ropes course and more! Families are housed in their own cabin at night, while mealtime and singing, activities, etc. are done with the other families. Family Camp is a marvelous bonding experience offering you and your family a chance to meet Jewish families from other communities. It is also the ideal setting for a family reunion!
Family Camp is the perfect setting to expose younger children to the overnight camping experience and is geared towards families with children of all ages. In addition to daytime activities, there are early evening family activities (i.e., camp fires, cooperative games, skits, scavenger hunts) and later evening activities geared towards adults. One of the highlights of the week is the experience of a Camp Interlaken Shabbat. A Camp Interlaken Shabbat is truly a magical experience. Services are held lakeside in our beautiful, tree-lined amphitheatre. The Shabbat meal and the singing/dancing afterwards are a memory that you and your children will share and always remember.
The fee for Family Camp 2012 is only $995 for a family of four, with a $100 charge for each additional family member. (Families may choose to bring a babysitter if desired. He/she may be counted as a member of the family.)
Camp Interlaken JCC is an overnight camp with more than three decades of history, tradition and experience. We’re proud to bring you a camp program that meets the needs and demands of active Jewish families today. One goal of Family Camp is to provide a program that will give your family five days filled with fun, adventure, personal insight and everlasting memories.
We hope to see you and your family for Summer ’12!
